CSPA age calculator
Estimate whether your child can still get a green card as your dependent after turning 21. An estimate only, not legal advice.
How it works
- CSPA age = the child’s age on the date a visa became available (with the I-140 approved), minus the time the I-140 was pending (days from filing to approval).
- If the CSPA age is under 21 and the child “sought to acquire” permanent residence within 1 year of availability (for example by filing an adjustment application or DS-260, or paying the immigrant visa fee), the child can generally still immigrate as your dependent.
- A child who marries can no longer be an EB-3 dependent.
- USCIS currently generally uses the Final Action Dates chart to decide when a visa became available; confirm with an attorney.
