EB-3 Final Action Dates this month

  • Professionals and skilled workers: China mainland-born January 22, 2022; all other countries June 15, 2024
  • Other Workers (EW-3): China mainland-born October 1, 2019; all other countries June 1, 2022

Dates for Filing

  • Professionals and skilled workers: China mainland-born April 1, 2024; all other countries August 1, 2024
  • Other Workers: China mainland-born October 1, 2020; all other countries July 1, 2022

This month USCIS is accepting adjustment of status applications under the Dates for Filing chart: if your priority date is earlier than the filing date, you can submit your I-485 now and wait in line.

What it means for China-born applicants

Within EB-3, professionals and skilled workers are more than two years ahead of Other Workers. But the category is set by the job’s actual minimum requirements: only jobs that genuinely require a bachelor’s degree or two years’ experience qualify.
