Prevailing wage

The first step is a prevailing wage determination from DOL (Form ETA-9141). Based on the duties, requirements and worksite, DOL sets the minimum wage for the job. The offered wage can’t be lower.

Higher requirements (for example, 2 years’ experience) usually mean a higher wage level.
